About SuicideGuard

SuicideGuard began with a loss.

One of our friends took their own life, just days after posting signs of distress on social media. The warning signs were there, hidden in plain sight, but no one noticed in time. It shook us to the core. The realization was heartbreaking: we are living in a world where cries for help are often overlooked by people and platforms alike.

That tragedy became a call to action.

We built SuicideGuard to make sure no one feels alone in their darkest moments. By using AI to scan public social media posts for signs of emotional distress, our goal is to identify people at risk and guide them toward real support, before it’s too late.

This project is more than code. It’s a promise. A promise that someone is listening, someone is watching out for you—even when the world seems silent. SuicideGuard stands as a digital lifeline powered by compassion, technology, and the belief that every life is worth saving.
